On the occasion of the 15th Cerdanya Soil Course in La Seu d’Urgell, the Summer University of the University of Lleida (http://estiu.udl.cat/Universidad) has organized the first Congress of Mountain Soils and Global Change, which will take place from the 14th to the 17th July 2010.
We want to take advantage of the experience in mountains soils and the relationship with the other components of the natural and social environment in order to organize this congress, which has current questions in common with regards to mountain soils, within the context of climate as well as occupation and usage of soil in global change, mainly the depopulation of the mountain areas that not only affect the Pyrenees, but also other mountainous areas of Europe.
